We’re building a bar program that reflects innovation, community, and excellence—and we’re seeking experienced bartenders who can deliver top-tier service while contributing their creativity to a dynamic beverage menu.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant General Manager, the bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while delivering consistently exceptional guest experiences. This role requires both precision and personality: the ability to work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining quality, composure, and hospitality. Bartenders at Time Out Market have the opportunity to play an active role in beverage program development and to flourish in a fast-paced environment with strong earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and service standards.
Anticipate guest needs and deliver attentive, personalized service that reflects Time Out Market’s brand values.
Support the creation, testing, and seasonal rotation of cocktails and menu items under the guidance of bar leadership.
Maintain complete knowledge of all menus, ingredients, product availability, and daily or seasonal specials.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and company alcohol service policies at all times (including TIPS standards).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, back bar, and surrounding service areas before, during, and after shifts.
Manage setup and breakdown of the bar, including restocking, inventory control, and updating par levels.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, process guest payments accurately, and balance cash drawers at shift close.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and culinary staff to coordinate service and resolve issues promptly.
Uphold standards of safety, sanitation, and workplace hygiene in compliance with local and company guidelines.
Participate in staff meetings, tastings, and training sessions to stay informed on new products and service expectations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 3–5 years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment (restaurant, hotel, or event venue preferred).
Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, mixology techniques, and flavor pairings.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
Proven track record of accuracy in cash handling and POS operation.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and shared success.
Creative approach to developing and presenting beverages.
TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification (required or must be obtained during onboarding).
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
