About Us

ABC Accounting and Bookkeeping Services LLC is a growing accounting and bookkeeping firm serving small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Denver metro area. We provide full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and advisory services, with a strong focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and exceptional client service.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with 5–7 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience to join our team. This is a hybrid role: primarily remote, with the ability to travel to client sites within the Denver metro area as needed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, can effectively multi-task across multiple client accounts and deadlines, and communicates clearly with both clients and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including:
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
General ledger maintenance and journal entries
Month-end and year-end closing
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and schedules
Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations (as needed)
Coordinate with accountants for tax preparation and year-end adjustments
Communicate with clients to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and answer questions
Travel to client locations in the Denver metro area for on-site work (setups, cleanups, file reviews, or special projects) as required
Maintain organized digital records and follow internal workflows and deadlines
Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls

Qualifications

5–7 years of professional bookkeeping experience (public accounting or multi-client environment preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop), Xero, or similar
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office and/or Google Workspace
Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple client files and deadlines
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel to client sites within the Denver metro area as needed (must have reliable transportation)

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Bookkeeping or accounting certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks ProAdvisor) are a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

Hybrid: combination of remote work and on-site client visits in the Denver metro area
Standard business hours with some flexibility, depending on client needs and deadlines
Necessary remote-access tools and systems will be provided
