Sr. Contracts Manager

Cleared Federal IT / GovCon Acquisition Support

Position Overview

Program / Customer: DOE / NNSA

Location: Independence Ave, Washington, DC/ Hybrid minimum of 3 days onsite weekly and the ability to work 5 days onsite weekly if needed, without restrictions

Clearance Required: Active Top Secret (TS)

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required

Employment Type: W-2 only

Target Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary

The Contracts SME negotiates, develops, administers, extends, terminates, and renegotiates contractual agreements for products or services. This role leads procurement proposal development and supplier negotiations, ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Negotiate, develop, administer, extend, terminate, and renegotiate contractual agreements for products or services.
Negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement proposals and contracts.
Formulate and coordinate procurement proposals.
Coordinate the activities of workers engaged in formulating bid proposals.
Partner with program, capture, and business leaders to develop acquisition and contracting strategies that support growth, execution, and customer mission objectives.
Lead complex negotiations with government and industry partners to achieve favorable business outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, financial, and operational risks while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
Collaborate across Contracts, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Program Management organizations to resolve complex business challenges and drive successful program execution.
Build trusted relationships with government contracting and program counterparts, serving as a key interface between and the customer.
Mentor and support the development of contracts professionals while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the contracts function, as needed.
Respoinsible for executing and overseeing every aspect of contracts activities and management.
Responsible for createion, issuance, oversight and management of sub-contracts activities.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated expertise in contracts management and procurement.
Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines and U.S. Government contracting.
Acquisition planning.
Contract awarding and closeout activities.
Source selection.
Sub-contracts management
Cost and price analysis and negotiation experience.
Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related field.
Experience supporting a range of federal contract types preferred.
Formal contracts training, certification, or professional development coursework (NCMA, CPCM, CFCM, or equivalent).

Pay: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
