Full Job Description

Position Summary

Compass Healthcare LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day financial records and support overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process invoices, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements
Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant account statements
Monitor cash flow and assist with budget tracking
Maintain payroll records and coordinate with payroll providers as needed
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation
Assist external accountants, auditors, and management with financial information requests
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, or similar accounting and payroll systems preferred
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in healthcare, medical billing, or healthcare administration is a plus
