Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Chevrolet Service Advisor to join our vibrant automotive team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between our valued customers and our skilled service technicians, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and positive service experience. Your enthusiasm for automotive repair and excellent communication skills will drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will be responsible for accurately estimating repairs, upselling necessary services, and managing service write-ups with professionalism and transparency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your automotive knowledge with exceptional customer service to help clients keep their vehicles in top condition.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and provide expert guidance on recommended services.
Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software, ensuring transparency and clarity for customers.
Upsell additional services and maintenance options that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to clients throughout the service process.
Manage service write-ups efficiently, documenting all customer interactions, vehicle issues, and recommended repairs accurately.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections utilizing automotive diagnostics tools to identify mechanical issues such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, tire services, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, oil changes, and more.
Handle cash transactions securely while maintaining accurate records of all payments received.
Foster positive client relationships through clear communication about vehicle status, repair procedures, and recommended maintenance plans.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto dealership or repair shop environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures including transmissions, suspension systems, brake repair, tire services, oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, air brakes, etc.
Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally.
Experience in auto service management or service writing is highly desirable.
Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
Knowledge of dealership operations combined with collision repair understanding is a plus.
