Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Department Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the mortgage loan processing team by managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help ensure smooth operations within the department, contributing to a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike. This position offers an engaging environment where your multitasking abilities and office management expertise will shine.

Responsibilities - Handle clerical and administrative tasks to support management, mortgage loan officers (MLOs), processors, and underwriters. Duties include:

Review residential mortgages application submissions for accuracy and identify and communicate to lenders concerning missing/incomplete documentation needed to process application.
Input and updates data into loan origination system, file organization, data entry for new loans.
Assign Loan numbers
Work with loan officers, legal professionals, insurance agents and borrowers to address issues, obtain required information and documentation as necessary to facilitate loan approvals.
Order Appraisal/Title work/Verification of Employment
Submit files to underwriting in a timely manner in accordance with company standards
Prepare and mail appropriate, accurate loan application disclosures in timely manner.
Monitor open files for compliance with withdrawn and declined file requirements.
Responsible for quality control review of received packages
Communicate and resolve any discrepancies on required documents with investors
Review reporting and follow-up on files pending funding to ensure the documents and corrections needed have been resolved.
Process funding loan proceeds and fees.
Completes other duties as requested
