Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Manager to lead our food manufacturing operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire production process, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained across the facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing cross-functional teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence in a dynamic food production environment.

Duties

Develop and execute production plans aligned with company goals, ensuring timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization.
Oversee daily manufacturing activities, maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Utilize SAP, ERP systems, and manufacturing management software to monitor production data, manage inventory levels, and support supply chain coordination.
Lead process improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Coordinate with supply chain management and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and inventory accuracy.
Implement and maintain production management systems that support efficient scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.
Analyze Excel data reports for operational insights and make data-driven decisions to enhance manufacturing processes.
Manage plant operations by supervising staff, fostering team leadership, and promoting cross-functional communication.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process enhancement, quality control, and cost reduction.
Ensure compliance with quality standards through rigorous inspection protocols and quality control procedures.

Skills

Extensive experience in production management within a food manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in SAP, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), ERP systems, and manufacturing management software.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement techniques, and supply chain analytics.
Expertise in production scheduling, planning, and operations management.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to plant equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent skills in Excel data analysis for operational reporting and decision-making.
Familiarity with quality control standards specific to food safety regulations.
Effective cross-functional communication skills across departments such as procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and engineering.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
