Bookkeeper | Full-Time | On-Site

The Role

A growing professional services and advisory organization is seeking a Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities across an assigned portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple clients, maintaining accurate financial records, and taking ownership of the bookkeeping process.

The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping fundamentals, experience with QuickBooks Online, and the ability to manage reconciliations, payroll, billing, and financial reporting with accuracy and minimal oversight. This role will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure financial information is timely, accurate, and well maintained.

What You'll Do

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities across an assigned client portfolio.
Perform accurate data entry and maintain general ledger activity within QuickBooks Online.
Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules for client and internal review.
Process payroll accurately and on schedule for assigned clients.
Manage billing and collections activities associated with client engagements.
Support 401(k)-related account activity as it relates to client bookkeeping.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records across multiple client accounts.
Communicate with clients and internal team members regarding accounting and bookkeeping matters.
Ensure monthly books are closed accurately and within established deadlines.
Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and increase efficiency.
Handle sensitive financial and client information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

What You Bring

2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Experience working with QuickBooks Online required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, including bank reconciliations, payroll, billing, collections, and financial statements.
Public accounting or CPA firm experience preferred.
Experience managing bookkeeping responsibilities for multiple clients or entities preferred.
Exposure to payroll platforms outside of QuickBooks is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with clients and internal teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.

Compensation

$55,000-$65,000 (or commensurate with experience and qualifications)
