American Machining, Inc. has been is business for over 48 years, manufacturing Stainless Steel IBC (Intermediate Bulk Containers), Mixing Equipment, Parts, and Accessories. In addition, we are one of the largest SS Tote repair facilities in North America. We offer our customers quality equipment built in the USA, and serve various industries including paint, coatings, chemicals, cosmetics, and food & beverage. We offer both standard and custom parts for our customers who require transporting or blending their products. We pride ourselves on producing the highest quality stainless steel IBC totes and accessories, ensuring reliability and excellence in every product.

Position

We are seeking a strong candidate to join our dynamic team at American Machining, Inc. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing our manufacturing processes for stainless steel IBCs. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining our high standards of quality and innovation. This position will also have significant customer engagement and requires experience with machining equipment.

Responsibilities

Design and develop solutions to support custom IBC tote requests based on customer requests.
Create and design solutions for customers, mixing and blending requirements.
Utilize GD&T principles to ensure precision in design specifications.
Conduct (FEA) to validate designs and improve product performance.
Create and interpret schematics for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues.
Troubleshoot and find a resolution for customer inquiries.
Support CNC operations by providing necessary technical specifications and guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in system design, GD&T, and FEA software tools.
Experience with CAD software and CNC machinery is preferred.
Customer engagement experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
