Full Job Description

We’re seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant to join our team and make an immediate impact. In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with attorneys and legal staff, helping to keep cases moving forward, managing key deadlines, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities

Draft, format, proofread, and finalize correspondence and routine legal documents at the direction of attorneys
Prepare document shells and templates for attorney review
File documents electronically and/or manually in accordance with court rules and firm procedures
Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, meetings, and deadlines
Coordinate client meetings and conference calls
Open, organize, and maintain client files (electronic and physical)
Maintain case files, pleadings, and supporting documentation
Monitor deadlines and provide timely reminders to attorneys
Communicate with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding scheduling and procedural matters
Process incoming and outgoing mail, including certified and overnight deliveries
Prepare billing support documentation and assist with time entry as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information
Provide general administrative support to attorneys and department staff
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of legal administrative experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Strong typing, formatting, and document management skills
Familiarity with electronic court filing systems preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Active Notary Public commission preferred, but not required
