Position: Slatts Pub & Grill Kitchen Manager / Head Chef

Location: Blue Ash, OH

Job Type: Full-time

Overview:

Slatts Pub & Grill is a locally owned, 200-seat neighborhood favorite in Blue Ash, known for quality food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re currently seeking a reliable and energetic Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to join our leadership team and help guide back-of-house operations.

Slatts Pub & Grill is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our kitchen team through an exciting period of growth and development.

This is not a maintenance position. This is an opportunity to build something.

We are looking for a leader who enjoys coaching people, improving systems, raising standards, and developing a team. You'll have the support of ownership and our corporate Executive Chef, but you'll be the day-to-day leader responsible for creating a kitchen that delivers consistent food, controls costs, and develops a strong culture.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Leading all daily kitchen operations
Hiring, training, coaching, and developing kitchen staff
Building schedules and managing labor budgets
Managing food cost, inventory, and ordering
Maintaining recipe consistency and quality standards
Ensuring health department and food safety compliance
Managing prep systems, production, and execution
Working the line during peak periods and leading by example
Creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality

The Right Candidate

Previous Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Head Chef, or Executive Chef experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience managing food and labor costs
Ability to recruit, train, coach, and hold staff accountable
Organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable leading a busy lunch, dinner, and weekend operation
ServSafe certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000-$78,000 annual salary
Performance bonus opportunity up to $18,000 annually
