DeGen Medical is an innovative medical device manufacturer specializing in advanced spinal implants and instruments. Focused on improving patient outcomes through traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques, we operate a fast-paced, high-growth facility in Florence, South Carolina—a region renowned for premier healthcare excellence.

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, conscientious, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our corporate team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions, handle sales orders and accounts payable, coordinate corporate travel, and support our cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate takes pride in financial accuracy, thrives in a dynamic office environment, and works collaboratively to reinforce DeGen Medical’s mission and culture.

Key Responsibilities

· Sales Orders & AR Support: Process and generate official sales orders based on incoming purchase orders submitted by customers. Review and accurately record customer payments in the accounting system.

· Accounts Payable (AP): Review, verify, and input AP invoices. Match receiving records with purchase orders, research variance issues, and ensure timely vendor payments.

· Vendor Financial Support: Act as a point of contact for vendor questions regarding billing, statements, and existing invoices, providing clear and professional answers.

· Travel Coordination: Book, manage, and coordinate corporate travel arrangements (flights, hotels, transportation) for team members, ensuring alignment with company guidelines.

· Data & Systems Management: Maintain, update, and optimize filing, inventory logs, and corporate databases using accounting software and digital tools.

· Cross-Functional Support: Act as a reliable point of contact for routine queries from vendors, the sales/marketing department, and other internal stakeholders.

· Special Projects: Support operations with ad-hoc reporting, audit preparation, or specialized administrative projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.

· Experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping, order processing, general accounting, or a high-volume AP role is preferred.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and comfort navigating standard ERP/accounting software or order management platforms.

· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset and a proven track record of handling sensitive documents with strict confidentiality.

· Organization: Superior time-management, multi-tasking, and analytical problem-solving skills, with a laser-focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
