Full Job Description

Overview

eWorld Fulfillment is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our flagship St. Petersburg fulfillment center. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a high-volume, multi-client eCommerce distribution facility, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all warehouse functions.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and has a proven track record managing high-growth fulfillment operations supporting DTC, B2B, marketplace, subscription, and retail customers. This leader will combine operational discipline with technology, analytics, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead all fulfillment center operations including receiving, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and value-added services.
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, accuracy, and service levels while maintaining a strong culture of accountability.
- Develop supervisors and frontline leaders through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Partner with Customer Success, Transportation, IT, Finance, and Sales to ensure seamless customer onboarding and operational execution.
- Own labor planning, workforce scheduling, productivity management, and staffing strategies to support seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Analyze operational KPIs and implement process improvements that increase throughput while reducing cost.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, root cause analysis, and strong inventory control processes.
- Lead customer implementations, new SKU launches, and operational expansion projects.
- Champion Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, client requirements, security protocols, and company operating procedures.
- Support strategic initiatives including warehouse automation, WMS optimization, transportation integration, and network expansion.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive warehouse leadership experience.
- 5+ years managing high-volume eCommerce or omnichannel fulfillment operations.
- Experience leading operations with 50+ associates.

Monday through Friday 10AM-6PM). Mandatory Saturday support required mid-October through end of year (8AM-2PM) as volumes dictate.

- Strong experience supporting multiple customer accounts within a 3PL environment preferred.

- Proven experience scaling operations during rapid growth.

Technical Experience:

Candidates should possess extensive hands-on experience with modern warehouse technologies, including:

- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Extensiv or similar platforms.

- Transportation Management Systems (TMS) including parcel routing and carrier optimization.

- Inventory management, cycle counting, slotting, and warehouse optimization.

- Barcode scanning technologies, RF devices, and mobile warehouse applications.

- Warehouse automation technologies including pick-to-light, conveyor systems, or similar productivity solutions.

- Shipping platforms supporting FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, and regional last-mile carriers.

- Microsoft Excel (advanced), reporting tools, and operational analytics.

- Experience utilizing dashboards and business intelligence platforms to drive operational decisions.
