Overview

InterMotive Vehicle Controls is a leading manufacturer of electronic control systems for the bus, paratransit, Police, Fire, RV, and work truck markets with a reputation for high-quality products. We seek a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and a broad range of skills, including electrical, computer, automotive, phone, and written communication skills. As Technical Support, you will be crucial in ensuring that our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for quality service and extraordinary customer experience.

Qualifications:

In addition to understanding basic electrical principles and being able to read and understand schematics, the ideal candidate will have excellent phone and technical writing skills and a working knowledge of automotive systems. Our fast-paced environment requires the ability to multitask while exercising good judgment in dealing with VIP customers. Computer skills a must, you must be able to touch type. Specialized Training will be provided, but you must already possess a basic understanding of electrical circuits and automotive systems.

The successful candidate will be a U.S. citizen and have excellent English written and oral communication skills. An associate degree in a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

Phone support is needed for our customers to install and troubleshoot electronic modules in-vehicle applications.
Identify trends and work with departments to analyze steps needed to minimize a negative customer experience.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle problems efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, product releases, and repair techniques.

Experience

Previous experience in a commercial vehicle dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
Strong electrical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Microsoft Office experience is a must
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
An associate degree in a related field is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
