Job Title: Project Engineer, Construction

Location: Riverside, CA

Classification: Full-Time Requirement: 4+ years’ experience

Job Pay: $65-90K Annually

Division 7 is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team! D7 is a progressive and successful family business. We specialize in the fabrication and installation of architectural sheet metal, siding, metal cladding and roofing for commercial projects.

Must have references and proven past work history record. This position typically works M-F 8am to 5pm 8-hour shift with occasional overtime

Responsibilities:

· Assist Project Manager with project responsibilities, including overseeing schedules and budgets.

· Prepare, maintain, and coordinate review for approval and distribution of project documents including project logs, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, transmittals, and current drawings.

· Review job plans for revisions via RFIs, Bulletins, Delta changes, etc.

· Assist with preparation of change orders, update and maintain change order logs,

· Assist with Procurement including awareness of long lead times, material and owner supplied equipment. Create and maintain purchase orders.

· Owner/ General Contractor coordination and communication, including preparing timely status reports and hot lists.

· Supports PM and Superintendent in creating, updating, and distributing project schedules.

· Involved in Project Closeout encompassing punch list management, creation of O&M packages, and start-up.

· Process and maintain required project documentation

· Maintain project quality control.

· Perform other operational duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

· 4+ years' experience as Project Engineer (Architectural Sheet Metal preferred)

· Must possess a valid California Driver’s License

· Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe, and Bluebeam

· Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus

· Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical plans and specifications as they relate to commercial construction

· Knowledge of commercial construction methods, policies, and procedure

· Knowledge of the following construction management software: Sage-100 and Time Summit

· Strong analysis and critical thinking skills

· Deadline and detail-oriented

· Strong professionalism with customers and coworkers

· Strong Communication and follow through Skills

Additional requirements:

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and occasionally carrying 50lbs. Job requires working inside and outside in environments that present occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, as well as at heights in excess of 10 feet.
