Catco is a growing manufacturer serving the natural gas industry with products that improve energy resilience and reduce methane emissions. We are looking for a hands-on Fabrication Team Leader who can lead people, improve processes, and drive results in a fast-paced sheet metal fabrication environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, coaching team members, solving problems, improving flow, and helping a team win every day.

What You'll Do

As Fabrication Team Leader, you will:
Lead the day-to-day activities of our fabrication team.
Coordinate production schedules and work order execution.
Coach and develop fabricators, welders, and machine operators.
Drive safety, quality, productivity, and accountability.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to solve problems and improve manufacturability.
Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, visual management, standard work, and waste reduction.
Support preventive maintenance efforts to maximize equipment uptime.
Track and improve key metrics related to throughput, quality, and performance.
Help build systems, processes, and documentation that support Catco's growth.

Equipment & Processes

Experience with some or all of the following is highly desirable:

CNC Lasers
Press Brakes
Turret Punches
Welding Operations
Sheet Metal Fabrication
Work Orders and Production Scheduling
ERP/MRP Systems
Quality Inspection and Root Cause Analysis
Lean Manufacturing Tools

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading fabrication, welding, machining, or sheet metal operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, Gemba, TPM, Kanban, SMED, or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Proven ability to improve safety, quality, productivity, or throughput through process improvement efforts.
Experience coaching, developing, and holding production team members accountable.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
ERP/MRP experience preferred (NetSuite experience a plus).
Ability to organize work, prioritize effectively, and lead through change.
Experience supporting ISO 9001, AS9100, or other structured quality systems is a plus.
