Full Job Description

Overview
Pay will be based on experience. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our bookkeeping team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, bookkeeping process, and who will keep the clients best interest as a priority. This critical role will follow the business flow of the office and perform tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in corporate accounting, demonstrate expertise in Quick Books and similar software. Working in transparency, and proactive problem-solving is vital. Join us to play a role in keeping the clients needs first, maintaining the financial health of our organization while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented workplace.

Duties

Follow the daily operations of the office, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions using software such as QuickBooks Desktop
Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account analysis, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure data integrity for our clients
Perform accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for our clients and to support management decision-making.
Conduct account reconciliation procedures to verify accuracy across various accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Perform payroll processing and ensure proper tax reporting in accordance with governmental regulations
Communicate with clients providing the highest level of customer service
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all bookkeeping procedures, journal entries, and audit trails for transparency and compliance purposes

Experience

3 years of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant with a focus on corporate organizations
Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, or similar tools
Strong understanding of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles
Experience with governmental accounting practices and tax regulations preferred
Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax reporting requirements

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
