Concrete Driver/Operator – Volumetric Truck

CCC DELTA Group, Inc

Location: Fort Smith, AR

Department: Concrete / Construction Operations

Reports To: Concrete Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time (Hourly)

Position Summary

The Concrete Driver/Operator is responsible for the safe operation of volumetric concrete trucks, on-time delivery of materials to job sites, and accurate mixing and placement of concrete according to project requirements. This role supports civil and commercial construction operations while upholding company safety standards, customer service, and equipment care. Pay will be based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate and maneuver volumetric concrete trucks, including driving to/from job sites and mixing concrete on location.
Load, measure, and deliver raw materials such as cement, aggregates, and admixtures to ensure correct mix formulations.
Follow pour instructions and adjust mix consistency as required for various applications.
Complete proper pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections; document findings and report equipment needs.
Perform basic maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of the volumetric truck and mixer systems.
Maintain accurate delivery tickets, volume tracking, and job documentation.
Communicate with dispatch, site supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status and pour needs.
Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and job site rules.
Assist with site clean-up when required, including proper washout and material disposal.
Represent the company professionally with excellent customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

Valid CDL Class A with acceptable driving record, minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience
DOT medical card (current)
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in outdoor construction environments
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude

Preferred:

Previous experience operating volumetric concrete mixers (e.g., CemenTech, Bay-Lynx, Zimmerman)
Experience in civil construction, concrete placement, or similar field

Work Environment

Outdoors in varying weather conditions
Heavy equipment, construction job sites, driving on public roadways
Physical role requiring climbing, lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
