The Edition of Saginaw offers quality Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care in Saginaw, TX. We are currently seeking a Part Time (Friday & Saturday) Activities Assistant for our growing community! We are passionate about caring for our seniors and making a difference in their lives. Job Summary/Position Overview:

The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with the day-to-day activities of the Community. The Activities Assistant oversees the engagement of the residents, focusing on a high level of customer satisfaction and a safe environment for residents and staff. The Activities Assistant complies with all local, state and federal regulations.

Success in this role is measured by:

High degree of resident, family and employee satisfaction and engagement
Customer service and hospitality focused mentality
Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and hospitality skills for residents and their families
Creativity and adaptability in developing engaging programs with the ability to identify available community resources
Excellent outcomes in resident and employee safety and quality of life

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day activities of the community
Assist Executive Director in oversight and support of departmental activities affecting the Independent Living
Assist with resident engagement activities, including transporting Independent Living residents to and from appointments and activities
Assist with resident dining delivery
Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, follow instructions and directions, interact with residents of varying backgrounds and abilities, remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations, and work as a team member.
Understand the community’s regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with local, state and federal standards
Participate actively in all safety and quality-focused evaluation programs
Ensure that the community’s first impression remain a priority
Maintain excellent communication with residents, families and employees
Maintains and nurtures effective working relationships
Transport residents in the community vehicle as needed

Minimum Qualifications

2-5 years’ experience in managing IL/AL/MC
Senior Living experience required, especially in activities.
Must have a safe driving record.
Basic knowledge of computer systems particularly Outlook, Excel and Word along with a willingness to learn community-specific software programs.
