$45,000 annually with opportunity for growth based on performance and advancement.

Position Overview

The Rescue Team Member serves on the front lines of the Nashville Anti Human Trafficking Coalition’s Rescue Program. This role functions as a training pathway into the Rescue Coordinator position, providing hands-on experience supporting survivor interventions, assessments, placements, and transportation coordination.

This individual serves as a bridge between the world survivors are leaving and the new life they are stepping into. The role requires someone who can hold firm boundaries while demonstrating compassion, discernment, and spiritual maturity when working with women in extremely vulnerable situations.

The Rescue Team Member works closely with the Lead Rescue Coordinator, Transportation Coordinator, and Director of Rescue to ensure every rescue is handled with excellence, safety, and dignity.

Because rescue work often involves crisis situations, this role requires strong communication, emotional resilience, organizational ability, and the capacity to remain calm while managing multiple moving parts.

Work ScheduleTraining Period (First 30–60 Days)

On-site Monday–Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hands-on training with Lead Rescue Coordinator

Standard Schedule After Training

Monday–Friday
3:00 PM – Building Close (On Site)
Remote on-call availability until 11:00 PM

Weekend Rotation

Every other weekend on-call rotation

Rescue needs frequently arise outside traditional working hours, so schedule flexibility is required.

Core ResponsibilitiesRescue Support & Survivor Care

Assist with planning and coordinating survivor interventions
Participate in survivor intake and readiness assessments (in person or by phone)
Help evaluate readiness and willingness for services
Support survivors transitioning from crisis toward stability
Maintain communication with survivors, case managers, and families when appropriate

Rescue Logistics & Coordination

Work closely with:

Rescue Director
Lead Rescue and Transportation Coordinator
Rescue Coordinator

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating transportation to:

· Detox facilities

· Treatment centers

· Trauma programs

· Sober living communities

Preparing and distributing supplies from the Rescue Closet
Coordinating supply deliveries when needed
Maintaining inventory and organization of the Rescue Closet

Data & Reporting

Enter and maintain client records in the Apricot database
Update case notes, placement changes, and rescue activity
Maintain supporting spreadsheets for rescue tracking
Assist in generating reports for leadership
Ensure documentation is accurate and timely

Communication & Team Coordination

Maintain communication with rescue partners, counselors, and referral agencies
Coordinate transportation logistics with the transportation team
Assist with cross-department communication when survivors transition into Restore services

Organizational Engagement

As a representative of NAHT, the Rescue Team Member may also:

Assist with tours, events, and presentations
Support fundraising opportunities when requested
Share program insight or testimony when appropriate
Identify approved storytelling opportunities that highlight program impact

Spiritual & Cultural Expectations

Staff Devotional Participation

Staff participate in a daily devotional text chain, which includes:

Reading the designated scripture
Sharing reflections or insights as led by leadership

Church Participation

Employees must:

Be an active member of a local church
If relocating, actively seek a church home

Weekly Staff Gathering

Attendance required:

Wednesday Staff Meeting
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Biblically centered organizational gathering

Confidentiality & Professional Conduct

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, all Rescue staff must:

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding survivors
Follow all NAHT safety and privacy policies
Exercise discretion in communication
Demonstrate emotional maturity and professionalism

Preferred QualificationsExperience

Experience working with vulnerable populations
Background in addiction recovery, trauma care, or ministry
Knowledge of treatment programs and recovery pathways

Certifications (Preferred)

Peer Recovery Certification
LADAC Certification

Additional Requirements

Due to the nature of rescue work and the responsibility of transporting survivors, the following standards apply.

Recovery Requirements (If Applicable)

Candidates in recovery must have at least 18 months of continuous sobriety
Candidates must demonstrate they are actively working a program of recovery

These expectations help ensure staff are personally supported while serving individuals experiencing trauma and addiction recovery.

Driving Requirements

Valid driver’s license required
Clean driving record for a minimum of 12 months with no accidents
Ability to operate NAHT vehicles and transport survivors when necessary

These requirements exist to ensure the safety of both staff and the vulnerable individuals we serve.

Wellness Requirement

Because of the emotionally intensive nature of rescue work, employees must:

Be actively engaged with a therapist or willing to begin counseling if not currently engaged.

This helps ensure staff remain emotionally healthy while supporting survivors who carry significant trauma.

30 / 60 / 90 Day Development & Review Process

This position is a Rescue Coordinator training pathway, and employees participate in a structured development process.

30-Day Review

Focus: Orientation & Foundations

Evaluation areas include:

Understanding NAHT mission and rescue procedures
Intervention protocol comprehension
Familiarity with treatment networks
Apricot documentation training
Team communication and responsiveness
Demonstration of cultural and spiritual alignment

Supervisor evaluates readiness for limited rescue responsibilities.

60-Day Review

Focus: Applied Rescue Support

Evaluation areas include:

Participation in active rescues
Survivor communication
Transportation coordination
Documentation accuracy
Logistics management
Emotional maturity and professionalism

Supervisor evaluates growing operational independence.

90-Day Review

Focus: Role Readiness

Evaluation areas include:

Full rescue workflow participation
Partner communication
Crisis response and decision-making
Documentation quality
Leadership potential
Readiness for future Rescue Coordinator responsibilities

Following the 90-day review, leadership may determine:

Continued development in the Rescue Team Member role
Advancement toward Rescue Coordinator
Additional mentorship or training

Physical & Emotional Demands
