Hotel Front Desk Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

Hotel Front Desk Clerks are the first point of contact for guests and handle all stages of a guest’s stay.

They must provide high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.

The duties and responsibilities of a Hotel Front Desk Clerk include:

Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any necessary information, including hotel amenities, services, and room details
Respond to guests’ needs and requests, which may include providing extra towels, arranging transportation, or offering dining recommendations
Answer phone calls and emails, which can include taking reservations or answering questions about reservations and hotel policies
Process guest payments, including managing room charges, taking payments, and making change
Maintain a clean and tidy front desk area
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure all guest needs are met
Handle complaints and specific requests, working to resolve any issues that arise during a guest’s stay
Ensure the front desk is staffed and secure at all times

We are looking for a professional and courteous Hotel Front Desk Clerk to be responsible for all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of our hotel. Must be able to pass back ground and pass drug test

A Front Desk Clerk’s responsibilities include welcoming guests, processing guest check-ins and check-outs, answering questions regarding hotel services and assist with other needs to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay for our guests.

Our ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, a patient and friendly disposition, and the ability to handle stress and pressure with composure.

Responsibilities

Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
Process invoices, post bills, and handle payment
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
Ensure the front desk is neat, presentable, and equipped with all the necessary supplies
Communicate with all relevant departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Manage online and phone reservations
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
