Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts to process, analyze, and manage FOIA requests, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Your expertise in FOIA request processing, application of FOIA exemptions, DOJ guidelines, and FOIA legislation will drive transparency and support national security objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree.
PMP
Three (3) or more years of successful FOIA request processing
Expert application of FOIA exemptions, DOJ guidelines, and FOIA legislation.
Demonstrate leadership in mentoring and providing detailed guidance to correct processing discrepancies.
Ability to conduct thorough reviews and foresee potential harm, ensuring transparency, and compliance.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on building team trust and collaboration.
Comprehensive knowledge of FOIA exemptions, processing types, timelines, and fee categories.
Ability to analyze and interpret FOIA requests, conduct searches, and apply redaction software accurately.
Knowledge of DOJ required reports and application of submission procedures.

Responsibilities

Review and processing of FOIA requests ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Develop detailed reports and summaries that clearly communicate complex intelligence findings to stakeholders.
Maintain meticulous records of FOIA requests, responses, and related documentation in compliance with legal standards.
Support the development of policies and procedures to enhance FOIA processing efficiency within a dynamic security environment.
