Jeremiah’s Italian Ice

General Manager (Mont Belvieu, Texas)

The Jeremiah's Italian Ice of Mont Belvieu is looking for a COOL, BOLD and STRATEGIC General Manager to serve our tasty frozen treats to our fantastic guests and help make our grand opening a success!

Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for leading and directing Jeremiah’s People, Operations and Financials of their location. This includes hiring & development of their team, guest satisfaction, serving quality products, delivering 5-Star Service, the financial performance of the business, store marketing initiatives, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, inventory, food cost and labor controls, and providing a positive, upbeat work environment and culture.

This is a full-time position requiring hours in excess of 45 hours per week, and flexibility in hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Pay & Benefits:

$16.00 - $22.00 per hour (Base Wage + Average Tips) (overtime eligible)
Performance-based bonus opportunity
Bonus tied to measurable store performance metrics

Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Qualifications:

Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of general management experience in full-service, casual or quick-service restaurant or retail.
Proven track record in management of COGS and labor.
Proven track record of finding and keeping great talent.
Experience in event planning, B2B partnerships/sales preferred.
Must have excellent customer service and employee relation skills.
Must be detail oriented with the capability to oversee all aspects of the business and multiple areas simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have excellent customer service skills, exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.

Responsibilities:

Oversee entire store’s operations including financial performance, product production, inventory, personnel, sales, and marketing.
Ensure store is operated within operational guidelines established by owner and franchisor
Oversee and manage all areas of store and make final decisions on matters of importance
Ensure that all systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operations of the store.
Responsible for the development and achievement of store’s business plan by working with the owner and franchisor.
Ensure guest service in all areas meets company standards.
Respond to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problem and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
Organize and implement local store marketing as well as regional and national marketing promotions to increase sales.
Staff, train and develop managers and hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback, the establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
Responsible for effective management schedules and ensuring that store is properly staffed for all day parts and sales volumes.
Manage store’s P&L to optimize manageable profit, control COGS, Labor, and Controllables (semi-fixed expenses).
Expected to exercise good judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the Franchisee.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by owner or owner’s appointee.
Manage the entire operation of the store through the development and growth of staff, sales and profitability to meet goals established in location’s business plan.
Ensures the store is in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures.
Assists in the success of the store by ensuring guest satisfaction through adhering to company standards for quality, value, service and cleanliness.
Maintain a positive working relationship with staff to foster and promote a cooperative and pleasant working climate, which will be conducive to maximize employee morale, productivity and efficiency

Skills:

Effective communication with individuals at all levels including guests, Team Members, Area Manager, leadership team, vendors and other individuals you may come in contact with.
Ability to provide guest satisfaction, service excellence and problem resolution.
Ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate Team Members.
Ability to direct and drive performance and follow up with corrective action as required.
Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments, delegate work, focus attention to details.
Clear thinker, conflict resolution, exercising good judgment in decision making.
Determine training needs and facilitate as required.
Financial acumen to prepare schedules, watch labor costs, inventory control, purchasing and ordering, sales reports, budgets, P&L statements, etc.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Perform job tasks independently with minimal supervision.
