Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Cleaner/Dishwasher, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen and dining areas spotless, safe, and welcoming. In this vital role, you’ll be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and efficient dishwashing to support our culinary team. Your dedication will help create a positive environment for both staff and guests, contributing to memorable dining experiences every day.

Duties

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
Maintain high standards of sanitation by regularly cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to meet kitchen health and safety standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies to support kitchen efficiency.
Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere for guests.
Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, crates of supplies, or trash removal while adhering to proper manual handling techniques.
Follow all food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
Support the culinary team by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during busy service periods.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates your ability to uphold hygiene standards consistently.
Skills in food preparation or catering experience are advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in fast-paced settings aligns well with the demands of this position.
Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards ensures compliance and promotes a safe workspace for all team members.
