Full Job Description

BFC is a family-owned company that recently celebrated 50 years in business! We are a print, fulfillment, and technology company servicing a variety of industries. We currently seek a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Accounting Specialist you will conduct general accounting functions. You will review, process, get approval, and enter vendor invoices into QuickBooks. You will work together with Sales to ensure the monthly billing is accurate and is in accordance with accounting principles and tax reporting.

In addition, the Accounting Specialist:

Responsible for the billing process from start to finish, including gathering all information for accurate billing as well as verification of cost relating to the invoice
prepares the weekly check processing, obtains owner’s signature and mails checks
Reconcile assigned accounts from the balance sheet
Processes credit card payment and credits through merchant accounts
Records and issues refunds and adjustments as directed
Reconciles and posts customer payments daily
Completes monthly postage/sales worksheets

QUALIFICATIONS:

We seek an individual with Associate degree in Accounting or related field, as well as 1–2 years of experience in billing, accounts payable, or general accounting.

Experience in manufacturing setting a plus.

Must also be proficient with QuickBooks Online, MS Office products (Excel & Outlook). Prior work with Fishbowl, DOMO or equivalent ERP systems valuable.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team and the ability to juggle multiple priorities necessary. Must be comfortable collaborating with cross functional teams.
