Full Job Description

Controller - Atlanta, GA (Perimeter area)
Must have experience in the nonprofit industry
Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000

Key Responsibilities for the Controller:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL) and monthly/year-end close
Lead financial reporting, variance analysis, and cash flow management
Manage annual audit and serve as primary liaison with external auditors
Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit standards (ASC 958), and regulatory filings
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members
Drive process improvements and support system enhancements

Qualifications for the Controller:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
CPA required
5–10 years of accounting experience, including nonprofit accounting
Experience managing staff and leading accounting operations
Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting
Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
