Specialized Recruiting Group Northland & Downtown KC is currently seeking to fill an Accounting Specialist position in North Kansas City!

Basic Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Manage daily cash receipts and bank deposits
Process lockbox deposits and ensure funds are posted to the correct accounts
Scan and maintain remittance documentation and check records
Reviewing invoices due for payment
Producing outstanding payment reports
Identifying available discounts
Printing and preparing checks for approval
Mailing vendor payments
Generate accounting and financial reports as requested
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist leadership with general bookkeeping and accounting functions
Work with the company's outside CPA/accounting firm as needed
Support additional accounting and finance projects as assigned

Requirements:

5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
