Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Restaurant Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for every guest. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, manage staff, uphold food safety standards, and drive profitability through effective management and team leadership. Your passion for food service, combined with your managerial expertise, will inspire your team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the guest experience while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
Oversee daily operations, including shift management, ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours in both casual dining and quick-service settings
Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining efficiency in food production and presentation
Utilize POS systems
Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a safe environment for staff and guests
Conduct staff training sessions on customer service excellence, food handling procedures, kitchen management, and operational policies
Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost control initiatives
Supervise kitchen operations including food production, catering services, banquet functions, and bar services when applicable
Foster a positive team environment by promoting leadership development, conducting interviews for new hires, and supporting ongoing training & development initiatives

Requirements

Proven experience managing restaurants or hospitality teams with a strong background in food service management
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and kitchen operations
Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and financial reconciliation
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and food safety
Strong understanding of inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost management strategies
Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams through training sessions, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
Experience in managing fast-paced environments such as quick-service or casual dining restaurants; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Basic math skills for order accuracy, financial calculations, and inventory management
