We’re searching for a high-performing Tax Accounting Analyst I to join our Insurance Accounting Team, a group of hardworking, analytical professionals who are passionate about solving problems, delivering results, and growing their expertise.

Your Role
As a Tax Accounting Analyst I, you’ll provide critical support to your team and clients through journal entries, tax filings, financial reporting, and analysis. You’ll build the foundation for a career in insurance accounting and tax compliance by mastering core responsibilities and developing your technical skills in a specialized and high-demand field.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Tax Support

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and client-specific records
Prepare federal and state income tax returns and related IRS filings
Develop and maintain quarterly tax estimates and payment schedules
Generate financial statements on GAAP or statutory basis

Client Service and Process Management

Use QuickBooks and internal systems to manage client data
Meet multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
Ensure compliance with relevant tax codes and accounting standards

Professional Development

Build knowledge of financial statements, reinsurance structures, and internal systems
Collaborate with your team and contribute to a culture of accountability and growth

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1-2 years of relevant work experience in tax, accounting, or financial reporting
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks
Familiarity with SAP, GAAP, and IRS Tax Code/Regulations is preferred
Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
A desire to learn, take ownership, and grow your career in a fast-paced environment
