Full Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Clinic | Per Diem

Location: Roanoke, VA (primary) | Lynchburg, VA (as needed)
Schedule: Per diem shifts as needed
Pay: $50/hour

About the Role

National Vascular Physicians is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with moderate sedation and telemetry experience to support our outpatient vascular clinic on a per diem basis.

This role is ideal for a nurse seeking flexibility while maintaining hands-on experience in a procedural outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with vascular and interventional procedures
Provide care in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure settings
Administer and monitor moderate sedation
Perform IV placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring
Conduct pre-procedure calls and one-week post-procedure follow-up calls
Manage clinical phone calls for the office
Provide patient education and discharge instructions
Work closely with physicians, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure a safe and patient-centered experience
Document in EHR
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license
BLS and ACLS required
Telemetry experience REQUIRED
ICU, ED, cath lab, or procedural experience preferred
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently

Work Environment

Outpatient vascular clinic
Minimally invasive procedures with same-day recovery
Fast-paced, team-oriented setting
