M-F, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

POSITION SUMMARY

The DSP for the Day Program is responsible for performing the skills, training activities and services to clients in a safe, effective, healthful and respectful manner. Promote a respectful, inclusive, and person-centered environment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Responsible for direct client care. Duties include but are not limited to; social engagement with clients, leading daily activities, taking clients on community outings, assisting with feeding, toileting
Support clients with mobility, including use of wheelchairs or other adaptive devices.
Help individuals follow routines and schedules.
Report incidents, behavioral concerns, or health issues according to agency policies
Respect the privacy, confidentiality and property of clients.
Maintain ethical and professional boundaries.
Support effective communication, including use of assistive devices or alternative methods.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience: No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills: Outlook, Basic Computer and Typing Skills

Certifications &

Licenses: Must have and maintain a current driver’s license. Must be a licensed driver for at least 3 years.

Other Requirements: Must be a minimum of 19 years of age.
