Full Job Description

Job Overview
Excel Neurosurgery & Spine (ENS) is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Clinic Coordinator to lead the daily operations of our clinic. This pivotal role involves managing administrative functions, overseeing clinical workflows, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing patient experience and clinic performance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, possess strong leadership skills, and have a comprehensive understanding of medical office management. As a Clinic Coordinator, you will serve as the backbone of our clinic, working closely with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining a well-organized and financially sound clinic.

Duties

Coordinate daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff assignments to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction
Oversee medical administrative support functions such as medical records management, billing, coding, and documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Elation and Akamai PM
Supervise clinical staff including nurses, administrative personnel, and other healthcare providers to ensure adherence to policies and quality standards
Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and resource allocation to maintain financial health of the practice
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare laws to protect patient privacy and data security
Collaborate with human resources for hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
Monitor clinic performance metrics related to utilization management, managed care contracts, JCAHO standards, and acute care protocols to improve service delivery
Facilitate communication between departments to streamline operations and resolve any issues promptly

Skills

Extensive experience in medical office management with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinic operations
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Elation, Akamai PM or similar platforms
Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, billing procedures, and coding practices
Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource planning
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and healthcare regulations such as JCAHO accreditation requirements
Ability to handle complex administrative tasks related to practice management in diverse clinical settings such as dental clinics or acute care facilities
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff members and external partners
Experience in human resources functions including hiring processes and staff training programs
