Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeping QB (QuickBooks) Specialist to support our Accredited Title IV college. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, managing students accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for precise bookkeeping, a strong understanding of financial systems, and the enthusiasm to contribute to an educational environment. Join us to play a key role in managing our financial health while supporting the growth of vocational training initiatives!

Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online, and students management software systems
Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Record journal entries, handle accounts payable and receivable, and perform account reconciliation tasks in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting
Maintain compliance with governmental accounting standards for profit organizations involved in vocational education programs
Assist with budgeting processes, financial report writing, and audit preparation to support organizational transparency and accountability

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with expertise in QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), and other institutional software
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, for profit accounting standards, and governmental accounting practices
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and account analysis accurately
Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax regulations related to payroll management
Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation techniques, and financial concepts such as GAAP
Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly through written reports and verbal explanations
