Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Surgery Center Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our ambulatory surgery center. The Administrator is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and exceptional patient care while fostering a positive culture for physicians and staff. This position works closely with executive leadership, clinical leaders, and physicians to support the continued success and growth of the surgery center.

Essential Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory surgery center.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and regulatory requirements, including CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable licensing standards.
Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, and executive leadership to promote high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
Lead, coach, and develop administrative and clinical support staff.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and performance management.
Monitor staffing levels and clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional service.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assist with budgeting, expense management, and operational performance goals.
Monitor inventory, equipment, vendor relationships, and facility needs.
Support quality assurance, patient safety, and risk management initiatives.
Foster a collaborative, professional, and patient-centered work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in an ambulatory surgery center, outpatient surgical setting, or healthcare operations required.
Strong understanding of surgery center operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and physician relationships.
Knowledge of budgeting, operational reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Pay

$115,000.00–$150,000.00 per hour, depending on experience.
