Full Job Description

About the Role

Capital Trailer & Equipment is hiring a Dealership Operations Coordinator to help run the front of a fast-paced trailer, truck bed, parts, and service dealership in Helena.

This is a customer-facing operations role, not a quiet back-office job. You’ll keep the front counter moving, handle payments, keep systems accurate, and help the store run smoothly day to day. We want someone outgoing, friendly, sharp, tech-native, and who naturally takes ownership.

This is NOT a sales position. However, there is an opportunity to earn commission when you personally close certain deals (details below).

What You’ll Do

Run phones + front counter and keep customers moving
Take payments, cashiering, cash reconciliation, and help prepare deposits
Coordinate handoffs between sales, parts, and service; check in service customers
Keep CRM/POS records accurate (leads, notes, inventory status)
Website inventory management: take photos, upload units, and keep listings accurate
Ensure pricing matches between website listings and internal sales sheets
Spot problems and fix them without waiting for direction

Technology & Systems Used

POS systems (transactions + inventory updates)
Website updates / online inventory management
Social media basics (posting, messaging, basic phone video)
Zoom (calls, meetings, basic remote coordination)

What We’re Looking For

Outgoing, friendly, high-energy — someone customers look forward to seeing
Ownership mentality: you notice problems and fix them
Organized and accurate (especially with money + paperwork)
Tech is part of your daily language — you’re comfortable inside systems daily
Calm under pressure and strong follow-through
Confident communicator with customers, vendors, and team members
Able to be the front-of-house point person when the owner is out (with a salesman)
Ambitious and self-improving — you invest in your own development (courses/classes/books)

Preferred Backgrounds (not required)

Dealership office, contractor office (roofing/plumbing/construction), property management, dispatch, high-volume retail/service, real estate admin/transaction support

Sales experience is a plus (especially if you’re comfortable asking for deposits and keeping deals organized), but again: this is an operations/front-counter role first.

Schedule

Monday–Friday 8-5, Hybrid work from home.
In person
No weekends

Pay

$45,000–$52,000 base salary ( starts at $45,000; raises are earned through trust, effort, accuracy, and efficiency)
Commission is a perk (and it will happen): 10% of gross profit on trailer and truck bed sales you personally close
Not the core job
No service commission

Flexibility option: after training and once you’re performing, you may be eligible for up to ~8 hours/week of remote work (example: 1 full day or two half days). This depends on performance and store coverage.
