Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to food safety standards.

Duties

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
Ensure that all orders are accurate and meet quality standards before serving.
Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including the kitchen and dining spaces.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate order timing and special requests.
Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are ready for service.
Help set up for banquets or special events as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:

This role requires standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Vision abilities needed include close and color vision. Work is primarily indoors/outdoors, rotating between the front of the restaurant and kitchen, with moderate to loud noise levels and exposure to heat, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.
