Architectural Metals Field Supervisor

Overview

Futura USA is seeking an Architectural Metals Field Supervisor to work closely with our Project Management team and serve as their eyes and ears in the field across multiple active projects.

This position is responsible for visiting jobsites, monitoring installation progress and quality, verifying field conditions, identifying potential issues, coordinating with installers and General Contractors, and providing clear reporting back to our Project Managers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with architectural metals and commercial construction, understands how metal systems are installed, can read architectural and shop drawings, and is capable of managing priorities across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Visit and monitor multiple active construction projects throughout Florida
Work directly with Project Managers to provide accurate field updates and identify potential issues
Monitor architectural metal installation for quality, progress, and compliance with approved shop drawings
Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, details, and specifications
Verify field dimensions, existing conditions, attachment points, and installation requirements
Coordinate with installers, subcontractors, General Contractors, superintendents, and other trades
Document project progress through photos, videos, field reports, and site observations
Identify conflicts between drawings and actual field conditions before they impact installation
Monitor material deliveries and verify that materials are properly received, stored, and installed
Perform quality-control inspections and assist with punch-list completion
Identify potential change-order conditions and communicate them to the Project Manager
Assist Project Managers with installation sequencing, manpower coordination, and field logistics
Monitor jobsite safety and ensure Futura crews and subcontractors are following required safety procedures
Attend field coordination meetings when necessary
Maintain clear and consistent communication between the field and Futura's Project Management team

Qualifications

Previous experience with architectural metals, exterior building systems, or specialty construction
Strong understanding of commercial construction and jobsite operations
Experience with architectural metal systems such as ACM/MCM panels, aluminum plate, perforated panels, architectural screens, louvers, fins, soffits, fascia, canopies, trellises, railings, and miscellaneous metals
Ability to read and understand architectural plans, shop drawings, details, and specifications
Strong understanding of installation methods, attachment systems, tolerances, and field conditions
Ability to recognize installation problems and potential conflicts before they become costly issues
Comfortable traveling between and monitoring multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills when working with Project Managers, installers, superintendents, subcontractors, and General Contractors
Organized and capable of documenting jobsite conditions accurately
Comfortable using mobile devices, Bluebeam, construction management software, photos, videos, and digital field-reporting tools
Strong attention to quality, details, and architectural finishes
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
OSHA certification is preferred
