Full Job Description

On-Site Resort Manager

Our Resort Manager takes pride in overseeing all aspects of operations for this vacation ownership resort including quality control, customer experience, yield management and budget compliance. The compensation, benefits and travel perks are very attractive.

Essential Functions:

Operations

· Responsible for vendor selection, retention and relationships.

· Manage vendor scheduling, inspection, approval of work and follow up communication.

· Prepare documents and compile reports for meetings.

· Give presentations at meetings on resort operations including projects, actual costs as related to budget and other pertinent information.

· Prepare meeting minutes.

· Maximize income production from vacant units.

· Enforce occupancy policies and procedures.

· Investigate and resolve guest concerns.

Human Resources

· Manage small staff including hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring, promoting, and discipline.

· Hold daily stand-up meetings and weekly staff meetings.

· Prepare and present regular performance reviews of staff.

Quality Control

· Routinely inspect property to ensure all areas are well maintained, clean and in working order.

· Report deficiencies of inspection to proper departments or vendors.

· Prepare reports by collecting data, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.

· Make recommendations for future improvements to the property.

· Check and ensure that all fire safety documentation is in place and adhered to.

· Develop and modify standard operating procedures for the resort.

· Responsible for maintaining and improving comment card scores and other quality metrics.

Budgeting

· Develop, implement and maintain resort operating and improvement budgets.

· Manage to approved budgets.

· Approval and coding of invoices.

· Defend monthly spending to management.

Hospitality

· Manage the Friday, Saturday, Sunday check-in process.

· Make reservations for guests and owners.

· Coordinate listings with OTA, channel managers and other distribution vendors.

· Conduct weekly owner functions. Invite vendors and recommend area activities.

· Be main point of contact for all VIP guests.

Communication

· Communicate regularly via phone calls, e-mails, and meetings.

· Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries and requests.

· Respond promptly to online reviews

· Create and distribute quarterly newsletter.

Qualifying Requirements:

Minimum of 5 year’s experience in a customer-facing management role. Hospitality experience preferred. Vacation ownership, hotel or vacation rental experience a big plus.

This job is perfect for you if you are a problem solver with a record of excelling with minimal supervision and don’t mind working weekend days. Weekends are critical at our resort. You wont have to work both days every weekend, but you should be able to do so. Those currently living in the Hilton Head / Bluffton Area will be given preference.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word required. The ability to read and understand financial statements is a big plus.
