Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Host and be the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant! In this energetic role, you will create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests from the moment they walk through the door. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will ensure smooth seating, reservations, and guest flow, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hospitality expertise while engaging with diverse guests and supporting a lively restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and manage their seating experience efficiently
Handle restaurant reservation management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table assignments
Manage waitlists and communicate wait times clearly via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
Maintain organized reservation records and monitor table availability to maximize seating capacity
Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, and special requests, delivering outstanding guest services
Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene and sanitation protocols during guest interactions

Skills

Proven experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Strong restaurant reservation management skills using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
Excellent customer service abilities with a welcoming demeanor and effective communication skills
Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems for efficient operations
Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating proper phone etiquette
Solid organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow seamlessly
Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating counts, and billing procedures
Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being
Experience in food service or restaurant roles that enhance guest relations and service quality
