About RefillGenie

RefillGenie is a same-day bridge prescription refill service. When patients can't reach their regular prescriber in time, we connect them with licensed providers who can get them the medication they need. We want to fix healthcare, piece by piece. Providing bridge refills is just one of many possible solutions. We're constantly on the lookout for other ways to make healthcare work better for patients.

We're a small, fast-moving team looking to build out an entirely new part of our business: commercial partnerships. Today, RefillGenie primarily serves patients directly. We believe there's a much bigger opportunity to partner with organizations that serve the same patients we do — and we're looking for the person to build that opportunity from scratch.

The Role

We're looking for someone to build and own a new revenue line for RefillGenie: partnerships with organizations whose members or patients need what we offer. This isn't a role with an existing playbook, a warm pipeline, or a team to lean on — you'll be defining the target list, making the first calls, and closing the first deals yourself.

This is a real business-building assignment, not a lead-gen job. We're looking for someone who can operate independently at a senior level: identify which organizations are worth pursuing, build relationships with the right people inside them, structure commercial terms that work for both sides, and close. Some of these relationships will take months to develop before they turn into revenue. We're comfortable with that timeline if the person driving it is disciplined about the process and honest about progress along the way.

Done well, this role has the potential to become as large — or larger — than our existing consumer business within a few years.

This is a part-time position to start, with a base salary plus commission/bonus tied to partnerships closed. Hours are flexible based on what the work requires; this is well-suited to someone building a portfolio of client relationships rather than punching a clock. We'd expect this to grow into a larger role — potentially full-time, potentially with a team underneath it — as partnerships come online.

What you'll do

Pipeline & targeting

Identify the types of organizations whose patients or members would benefit from bridge prescription access (health plans, employers, value-based care groups, condition-management programs, and others you uncover along the way)
Build and prioritize a target list based on fit, deal size, and likelihood to close

Relationship building & sales

Get in front of the right decision-makers at target organizations, through outbound, warm introductions, industry events, or whatever works
Manage a long sales cycle with patience and discipline — these are relationship-driven deals, not transactional sales
Represent RefillGenie credibly in rooms with healthcare executives, negotiate commercial terms, and close

Deal structuring & operations

Work with the founders to structure partnership economics that make sense for both sides
Once a deal closes, help stand up whatever's needed to make the partnership actually work operationally, and hand off to the right internal owner over time

Strategy

Bring back what you're hearing from prospective partners. Which organizations lean in? Which objections keep coming up? What's preventing deals from moving? We'll use those conversations to refine our strategy.
Help decide, with the founders, what this function looks like as it scales

What we're looking for

Experience in healthcare, health tech, or a related regulated industry — you understand how healthcare organizations make buying decisions and who the relevant players are
A track record of business development, partnerships, or sales in a role where you owned the relationship end-to-end, from first conversation to signed deal
Comfort operating without a playbook, a big team, or much structure — you build the process as you go
Patience and discipline for a long sales cycle — you can stay on a relationship for months without losing momentum
Sound judgment and the professional maturity to represent a small company credibly to much larger organizations
Strong written and verbal communication — most of our collaboration happens asynchronously
Comfort with ambiguity about what this role becomes; you'll help define it

Nice to have

Existing relationships with health plans, employers, value-based care organizations, or similar
Experience building a business development function from scratch, not just working an existing one
Experience with usage-based or per-member pricing models

You'd be building a new part of RefillGenie's business largely on your own terms, with real upside if it works. You'll work directly with the founders, have real say in how this function takes shape, and have the flexibility of a part-time base while you build toward something bigger.
