Full Job Description

OVERVIEW

This isn't a desk job. You'll be the medical logistics brain behind MARFORPAC's deliberate and contingency planning — directly supporting USINDOPACOM-aligned efforts across the Indo-Pacific. As the OFS MEDLOG subject matter expert, you'll shape Class VIII posture, drive sustainment readiness, and translate doctrine into real operational outcomes. The mission is complex, the stakes are high, and your work will be seen at the highest levels of command.

THE MISSION

K2 is looking for a MEDLOG Operations & Plans Analyst to serve as the Office of the Force Surgeon (OFS) medical logistics subject matter expert at Camp Smith, Hawaii. You'll support MARFORPAC deliberate and contingency planning with a focus on Class VIII posture and sustainment, readiness, allied and partner interoperability, and operational logistics aligned to the MARFORPAC Campaign Plan and USINDOPACOM objectives. You bring continuity across planning cycles — translating MEDLOG doctrine and system realities into actionable recommendations that matter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Identify and assess operational-level MEDLOG requirements from subordinate/tactical inputs
Compare current and projected capabilities against requirements and provide actionable recommendations
Monitor classified and unclassified communications for emerging MEDLOG requirements and issues
Develop and manage Health Service Support (HSS) MEDLOG POA&Ms (Plans of Action & Milestones)
Review and QA staff products, including briefs, action plans, and supporting documentation
Participate in working groups, operational planning teams, and synchronization meetings across MARFORPAC/INDOPACOM
Maintain operational task visibility through Microsoft Teams task trackers and tasking tools
Provide weekly activity updates and elevate issues requiring Force Surgeon/OFS support
Provide MEDLOG inputs to annual assessments and campaign/Annex Q-related cycles
Participate in planning events by providing coordinated MEDLOG assessments, opinions, and expertise
Monitor doctrinal/policy updates and advise on required adjustments to OFS/MARFORPAC policy
Provide MEDLOG-specific inputs for exercise plans and Annex Q products
Produce timely, analytically supported recommendations on gap/shortfall identification and mitigations
Deliver recurring reports aligned to government formats and timelines
Follow OFS/MARFORPAC internal reviews to ensure technical accuracy and eliminate errors

WHAT YOU BRING

6+ years of experience supporting military logistics and sustainment operations
Bachelor's degree in logistics management, supply chain management, or related field
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight on mission-critical, high-visibility work
Experience across DoD joint service and international military/civilian logistics networks
Working knowledge of U.S. Navy MEDLOG systems/reporting, including MAXIMO Logistics Command & Control
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Military schooling such as SNCO Academy, Career Level School, Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS), and/or Supply School
Active TS/SCI clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Global Combat Support System–Marine Corps (GCSS MC) functions
Supply chain/logistics certifications (ASCM/APICS CSCP or CPIM, ISM CPSM, SOLE CPL)
Healthcare/medical logistics credential (AHRMM CMRP or equivalent medical materiel/readiness credential)
Prior relevant MOS experience (USMC MOS 0491, USN LS NEC, Army MOS 68J, or USAF AFSC 4A131)
Professional certifications (PMP or equivalent)
Additional PME/JPME (Joint Professional Military Education) strengthening joint/coalition planning effectiveness.
Applicable Navy AQD(s) OR completion of USMC Ground Supply Officer School
