Personal Support/Companion – Hudson, FL

Infinite Heart Support Care Services is seeking a dependable, patient, and energetic Personal Support/Companion to support an adult male with developmental disabilities in Hudson, Florida.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday: 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
Six additional hours on the weekend
26 total hours per week

About the Client:

The client is verbal, social, and enjoys music, singing, dancing, bowling, visiting the library, going out to eat, attending community events, and watching airplanes at the airport. He is independent with most personal-care activities but benefits from reminders, supervision, encouragement, and redirection.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide supervision and companionship in the home and community
Plan and participate in enjoyable community activities
Encourage exercise, social interaction, and social-skill development
Provide transportation to community activities as needed
Give medication reminders
Provide verbal prompts for hygiene, grooming, and appropriate clothing
Remind the client to slow down and take smaller bites while eating
Support safe decision-making and appropriate interactions with others
Use patience, positive redirection, and established behavioral strategies
Help the client maintain a safe, structured, and enjoyable routine
Complete required service documentation accurately and on time

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old
High school diploma or GED
At least one year of caregiving or direct-care experience preferred
Experience supporting adults with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
Ability to pass all required background screenings
CPR/First Aid and required APD certifications, or willingness to complete them
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
