Full Job Description

Company is seeking an Accounting Manager to work in the Corporate Group. This position will be responsible for managing the financial accounting group, financial reporting, and implementation and oversight of internal controls.

Responsibilities include:

Communicate with the Accounting team on job duties and performance.
Review internal controls processes for effectiveness.
Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
Enter and review financial transactions.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Performance of internal and external audits.
Provide guidance to other departments on applicable accounting policies.
Create forecasting and budgeting analysis.
Comply with accounting standards and laws.
Sales tax management and compliance.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Accounting.

This position’s responsibilities could grow as the employee demonstrates proficiency and interest.

Skills and abilities:

Management and supervisory skills
Effective written and verbal communication
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
Relevant work experience
Knowledge of GAAP
Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Supervisory Responsibility

This position helps manage and support multiple members of the Accounting department.
