Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and competent Part-Time Property Manager (Church Sexton) to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational capacity of our church facilities. This vital role combines property management expertise with a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for congregation members and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to facilities management, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of property maintenance and administrative processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a community-focused organization while ensuring the church’s spaces are well-maintained, and inviting.

Duties

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of church facilities, including grounds, interior spaces, and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, landscaping, cleaning, and other maintenance needs.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
Assist in managing relations with user groups by addressing concerns promptly.
Coordinate repairs to ensure property is compliant with all relevant codes and regulations.
Oversee security camera operation and surveillance.
Uphold office etiquette when communicating with staff, congregation members, vendors, and visitors to foster positive relationships.

Experience

Proven experience in property management or facilities management preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and negotiation abilities.
Prior experience doing light repairs.
