Full Job Description

Job Summary
The Patient Financial Supervisor will direct and assist with the daily management of Patient Accounts and Group Practice activities.

Duties
- Training and staff development.

- Participates in the development of goals and objectives for the P.F.S. Billing department.

- Plans, implements, integrates policies and procedures to ensure accuracy of insurance verification, confirmation, cash posting and control practices, billing data integrity, timely billing, aggressive and thorough follow-up activities and dedicated support services.

- Contributes to the development and monitoring of patient financial systems and procedures consistent with long and short-range revenue and cash flow.

- Interfaces with the computer vendor, when necessary, to resolve computer-processing issues related to P.F.S., schedule training for P.F.S. departments on all related computer upgrades and review computerized financial reports for accuracy.

- Interfaces with other hospital departments to identify and resolve problems relating to verification, master file changes, billing, regulatory changes and timely accurate charge submission.

Requirements
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in healthcare administration or patient services management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices, and healthcare regulations
- Proficiency in healthcare software systems is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
