Job Description:
We are not a typical flooring shop. We are a high-end, employee-only installation company. We do not use subcontractors. That means we do not chase bad work; we guarantee every seam, every stretch, and every transition.
We are looking for one highly skilled Carpet Installer who considers carpet fitting their trade— not a job they can do, but the job they were trained to do. You take pride in your work, stretches, and pattern matches.
All applicants who are selected will undergo a working interview for one week to assess job performance and compensation will be negotiated after the working interview.
Who we will NOT hire:
- The "handyman" who can also lay tile and paint trim.
- The subcontractor looking for a side hourly gig.
- Anyone who thinks "good enough" is acceptable on a pattern repeat.
- Installers who use a knee kicker as a stretcher, or think a stinger s a proper stretching tool.
- Anyone who has never read (or owned) the CRI-105 manual.
Who we WILL hire:
- The craftsman who owns a Power Stretcher, Seam Iron, and knows the exact roller pressure for each adhesive and type of carpet installation
- An installer who can diagnose a delamination/ flaw issue before cutting the first piece.
- A professional who has read the CRI-105 manual.
The Non-Negotiable Skill Filters (Read Carefully):

- Seaming: No peaking. No grinning. No cut fibers You know how to seam a patterned Berber.
- Stretching: You know the difference between a power stretch and a knee-kick stretch. You own a power stretcher.
- Finishing: Z-bar, tackless, flush mount, and waterfall transitions. You trim tight to stone and hardwood.
- Problem solving: You can lay out a room or enter job easily to avoid poorly placed seams.
Requirements (Hard Stops):
- Minimum 5 years of *full-time, employment* as a carpet installer.
- You own and maintain: Power stretcher, seam iron, seam roller, knee kicker, stair tool, trimmer, and hook blades.
- You can pass a hands-on skills test.

- Clean driver’s license (No SR22 insurance requirement)

- Full-time, hourly, we aim to schedule you 40 hours a week.
- Employee status: W-2, workers’ comp, payroll taxes paid by us (you are not a sub)
