Overview
We are a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provider specializing in wheelchair van and ambulance transportation services. Our team is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for patients traveling to and from medical appointments. Join our dynamic team as a Dispatch Scheduler / CAD Dispatcher, where you'll be at the heart of our transportation and logistics operations! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage our CAD scheduling grid and assist with coordinating daily transportation trips. The ideal candidate will have strong geographic knowledge of Cambria County, PA, allowing them to efficiently schedule trips, group patients traveling to similar areas, and ensure drivers are routed effectively.

This role requires strong logistical thinking, familiarity with the local region, and the ability to make real-time scheduling decisions that maximize efficiency and minimize unnecessary travel time. In this vital role, you'll coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of fleet movements.

Responsibilities

Schedule and manage transportation trips using the CAD grid within TraumaSoft software.
Efficiently assign trips to drivers based on location, timing, and vehicle availability.
Utilize knowledge of Cambria County and surrounding areas to cluster trips geographically and reduce unnecessary travel.
Ensure schedules account for realistic time requirements for patient loading, unloading, and transport.
Monitor the daily schedule and make adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency.
Communicate with drivers and team members regarding trip changes or scheduling updates.
Maintain accurate trip records within the scheduling system.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Cambria County, PA and surrounding communities.
Strong knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping, and transportation planning principles.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
Proficient typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
Ability to manage multiple trips and schedules simultaneously
Comfortable working with scheduling software and computer systems.
Experience using TraumaSoft software.
Previous experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) scheduling or dispatch.
Understanding of wheelchair van or ambulance transportation logistics, including loading/unloading times and patient transport considerations.
