Full Job Description

Line Cook

Line Cooks prepare and execute menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards while ensuring food quality, consistency, and efficiency during service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare menu items according to established recipes and plating standards.
Maintain organized and clean cooking stations.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.
Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service.
Monitor food quality and consistency during service.
Monitor inventory of food and communicate with leadership regarding ordering and par levels.
Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties.

Qualifications & Experience

2–4 years of professional kitchen experience preferred.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods.

Work Environment

Positions operate in a fast-paced hospitality environment including restaurants, bars, cafés, and hotel outlets. Employees may be exposed to hot surfaces, kitchen equipment, and high guest volume during peak service periods.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to restaurant management and works collaboratively with other front-of-house and back-of-house team members.

Prep Cook

Prep Cooks support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and assisting with food production to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, and measuring components.
Assist with preparation of sauces, stocks, and other menu components.
Label and store ingredients according to food safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness of prep stations and kitchen equipment.
Assist line cooks and chefs with kitchen production needs.
Prepare all food items for catering events according to the BEO and leadership direction.
Prep items according to par levels and manage inventory to assist with ordering.

Qualifications & Experience

1–2 years of kitchen preparation experience preferred.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods.
