Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role is a ON-SITE Technician at a single customer location. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial equipment including forklifts, heavy machinery, and other material handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure the customer fleet remains operational, safe, and compliant with industry standards. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanics with dealership experience and a passion for heavy equipment maintenance to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forklifts, ottowa, cranes, and other industrial machinery
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, OEM manuals, and electrical diagnostics tools
Repair transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems on various equipment
Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools
Conduct heavy lifting and tire service to support equipment uptime and safety standards
Maintain detailed service records and complete all necessary documentation for repairs and inspections
Assist with assembly, installation, and calibration of new machinery or equipment upgrades

Requirements

Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or farm machinery
Dealership experience highly preferred; familiarity with OEM parts and schematics is essential
Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, , diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and diagnostic devices
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding conditions; commitment to safety standards
