Job Opportunity: Sales Assistant

Location: Gulf Region Division

Superior Tank Co., Inc. is a leading manufacturer and erector of bolted and welded steel storage tanks serving the potable water, wastewater, fire protection, and crude oil industries. Our tanks, ranging from 4,000 to 2.5 million gallons, adhere to the highest industry standards, including those set by the American Water Works Association (AWWA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and American Petroleum Institute (API).

We are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to support our Gulf Region Division. This role will provide essential assistance to the Sales team, ensuring smooth operations, strong customer relationships, and continued growth in our industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

Research pending projects and gather key contact information.
Enter and update contact details in Salesforce CRM.
Review project details to assess relevancy and potential opportunities.
Communicate with customers to provide basic product information and follow up on submitted proposals.
Assemble marketing materials for client outreach and events.
Assist in managing trade shows and industry events.
Maintain and update Salesforce CRM, creating opportunities, assigning contacts, and tracking sales pipeline activity.
Actively search for and track projects through bid sites and plan rooms (e.g., Civcast, Reed).
Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to prioritize and manage quotes, ensuring proper documentation in the Quote Log.
Attend and contribute to monthly sales meetings.
Continuously improve sales skills and explore new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or similar platforms.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to write professional emails and correspondence.
Comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging in client interactions.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Research-savvy with the ability to identify potential business opportunities.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Professional office setting with standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.).
Primarily a sedentary role, but may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, or reaching.
Regular communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Position Details & Benefits:

Full-time, non-exempt position (Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
